What is it?

The Malaysian Department of Safety and Health (DOSH) requires a valid certificate of fitness (CF) for any steam boiler or unfired pressure vessel that is manufactured or brought into the country.

The following are examples of unfired pressure vessels that require design approval:

  • Air containers
  • Sterilizers
  • LPG storage tanks
  • Heat exchangers and,
  • Pressure vessels at the petrochemical plants and other facilities.

What we do.

LRQA is approved by DOSH as an Inspection Authority for the inspection and design appraisal of boilers and pressure vessels.

We have worked with manufacturers around the world to help make sure their equipment meets DOSH standards, and is able to be imported to Malaysia.

We also have experience coordinating DOSH approvals for large and complex projects, where companies are sourcing materials and components from around the world.
